Wine Resistant Vines

The name 589 derives from the year of the probable birth of our municipality with the current name: Roveredo in Piano, indicated in 1589. The wines are produced with grapes from vines resistant to fungal diseases. These vines are the result of constant research by the Cooperative nurseries of Rauscedo (Pordenone) and of a selection, which has been going on for several decades, of crosses between classic wine varieties and American and Asian vine varieties resistant to fungal diseases. The advantage of these vines is the minimum number of treatments carried out and the consequent low environmental impact for their cultivation.

THE QUALITY OF RESISTANT VINEYARDS:

  • Less energy consumption and lower CO₂ emissions
  • Greater environmental protection and sustainability by respecting nature
  • Reduction of energy consumption and soil pollution
