About Us

A family history becomes tradition.

The scent of time, the strength of stones, the love of a family.
It all began one day in 1959, when Antonio Bessich left Istria and looked out over the plains of Pordenone. Beside him stood his son, Luciano. Together, they saw a promise in that seemingly harsh and silent land. Together, they planted the first vines, embarking on a journey shaped by hard work, dreams, and intuition.

Over the years, Luciano transformed that intuition into art, refining it and guarding it as his most precious possession. And passion, as we know, is catching: it passed from Luciano to his wife Giuditta, and then down to their children Daniela, Alessandra, Roberto, and Fabio. Today, their hands continue to work in the path forged by the first generation, guided by that very same love.


The melody of the land
We are in the heart of Western Friuli, where nature speaks through the Grave di Pordenone. Here, the river-born soils are a mosaic of gravel and stones. Stones that capture the sun’s warmth by day and give it back to the roots by night, gifting the vines a unique energy and a calling like nowhere else in the world. It is from this dialogue between earth and sky that a truly unique wine comes to life.

For the Bessich family, winemaking is not just a trade; it is a responsibility towards tomorrow. This is why the entire estate is cultivated according to the SQNPI (Sustainable Quality) certification: a pact of respect towards the nature that hosts us.
