Description: the name 589 derives from the year of the probable birth of our municipality with the current name: Roveredo in Piano, indicated in 1589. ‘Roberetum’ instead is the Latin name of Roveredo in Piano and identifies our red from resistant vines.

The wine is produced with red berried grapes from vines resistant to fungal diseases. These vines are the result of constant research by the Cooperative plant nurseries of Rauscedo (Pordenone) and of a selection, which has been going on for several decades, of crosses between classic wine varieties and American and Asian vine varieties resistant to fungal diseases. The advantage of these vines is the minimum number of treatments carried out and the consequent low environmental impact for their cultivation.

Grapes: Merlot Khorus, Cabernet Volos, other resistant red grape varieties.

The harvested grapes are left to macerate for about 9 days, then after fermentation and the skins are separated, it is left to mature in steel and barrique barrels for a few months.

  • Color: Intense ruby red
  • Bouquet: Berries and red fruit, light floral, spicy.
  • Taste: with good structure and balance, it is slightly tannic, typical of resistant reds, the aftertaste brings back the hints of spices and wild berries of the perfume, very persistent.
  • Gastronomic Combinations: It goes well with cured meats, red meats, wild game meat, savory/seasoned cheeses.

Service temperature: 17 - 20°C
